Mom and I started this tradition the year I turned 21, because lord knows you can't do Black Friday sober. Waiting outside each entrance of the Sawgrass Mills Mall were vast clumps of people from all walks of life. When the doors opened promptly at midnight, squeezing through them was like trying to suck up a computer with a vacuum--simply impossible. Mom lost a shoe, I may or may not have gotten run over by a suitcase...it's hard to remember, I think I blacked out.
