Perfume: never ever pay retail!

24.99 instead of $57.90? Is that even a question!?
Digging for sale gold at discount stores can often be a daunting task...most of us just aren't looking for a purple turtleneck with rhinestones and a mysterious lipstick stain that's been unsold since Winter of '06. Luckily, there are plenty of current, unsoiled deals to be had.

For those who crave a great deal without sale-rack chaos, consider buying your fave perfume at places like Marshall's and TJ Maxx. Because perfume doesn't really go out of style, you never have to wait for last season's leftovers and the selection is always up to date.

Whether you wear Burberry Brit or Curious by Brit Spears, discount stores have a million options for 50% less than department store prices. All packaging, plastic-wrapping and contents are completely the same, so there's no need to worry about a half-empty bottle inside your box.

Tip: If you're buying perfume as a gift, whip out an old Sephora bag and some red tissue paper to mask your place of purchase.

Nothing says romance more than the shoe aisle at T.J. Maxx
When shopping, it's important to remember that price does not always affect quality. While you may not be interested in buying your wedding dress at a discount store or flat out having your reception there, things like activewear, exercise equipment and home-goods are pretty standard no matter where you snag them.

Tip: When you go to a discount store, it is essential to shop with a purpose. Have an idea of what you're looking for or you'll most likely come home with a new spatula and a yoga mat when all you went for was a belt.
